The USB Twin Serial Adapter plugs into a USB port on your Mac. It provides two RS-422 mini-DIN8 ports for connection to serial devices. Each port supports data rates up to 1 Mbps. This adapter has been certified by Apple for controlling video decks with Final Cut Pro. It has also been certified by Avid, DigiDesign and other video editing software providers. It is also useful for connecting to serial instrumentation used in medical, scientific and industrial process control applications. This version of the adapter is RoHS compliant. It replaces the USA-28X.
